Dachshunds melt in the rain you know…

As I was driving home today in the pouring rain, completely drenched with two soaking dogs in the car, I heard on the radio news that July was now officially a bad month concerning the weather. How delightful that there’s always a smart ass around to state the obvious. The stoic newsreader informed me that July has been cold and rainy, and with its average of sixteen degrees Celsius, the temperatures have been two degrees below normal. Two degrees below normal?! Eighteen degrees is now considered to be a normal temperature for the summer?!  Surely we’re not that far off the equator?! Eighteen degrees is just depressing. Eighteen degrees means you wear jeans and a coat, instead of shorts and slippers. Eighteen degrees does not give you a suntan. Eighteen degrees just sucks. So as I was gloomily driving along through the pouring rain, with water slowly dripping from my hair, a completely melted Dachshund on the seat next to me, and a smelly Wookie in the back, I suddenly saw something that instantly made me feel better:  A stressed looking lady in a convertible, driving in the pouring rain with the top of her car down. It made me realize that life realy isn’t too bad after all 🙂

Achttien graden is gewoon deprimerend. Achttien graden is gewoon waardeloos.

Very good choice of music! This “summer” is just awful, but apparently it all gets better on Monday. Hopefully 🙂
Have you tried drying Jarah with the hairdryer? Dende loves getting rubbed with the towel and then relaxes under the hairdryer (on low, rather far away).

    • Yes I'm so happy that Youtube has changed that copyright thing so I can now add my own music.

I've tried the hairdryer. Jarah is not a fan. She does enjoy a warm bath though! Especially when she's a bit cold and wet. I then just dry her off and cover her with a blanket so she can process her ordeal 🙂
